Since its inception, Cator has collected more than 500,000 tons of used oil and has served over 16.000 used oil producers (repair shops and factories) throughout Catalonia.
Cator’s collection system is divided in two areas:
Logistics
Cator has developed a unique logistics system that efficiently covers the area of Catalonia. This allows Cator to optimize truck routes and reduce service lead-times by collecting ahead of time and improving customer service.
Collection and control
The collection is conducted with tankers specially designed by Cator and equipped with all the necessary equipment ensuring a swift and safe process.
Two samples are taken from each collection. One sample is analysed in Cator’s laboratory to verify its composition and detect potential contaminants. The other sample is delivered to the producer, should a counter-analysis be required.
