The SDR<\/strong><\/a> (Waste Documentation System) is a fundamental tool for the efficient and legal management of used industrial oil<\/strong> in Catalonia. For companies that generate this type of waste, knowing how the system works is essential for its proper management and to ensure regulatory compliance, traceability and safe management.<\/p>

We are going to explain the key steps you need to follow to start operating correctly in the RDS if you are a new used oil producer.<\/p>

What is RDS?<\/h2>

The SDR (Sistema Documental de Residuos) is the digital platform of the Ag\u00e8ncia de Residus de Catalunya (ARC)<\/strong><\/a> that allows to register, control and document electronically the management of waste, such as used industrial oil. It is mandatory to register in this platform all those companies that generate waste, among which is included the usual used oil in sectors such as automotive, industry and machinery.<\/p>

The use of the RDS makes it possible to carry out the entire documentary process required by environmental regulations environmental regulations:<\/strong><\/a> From the registration as a producer, previous notifications of transfer (NP) and tracking sheets (FS).<\/p>

Steps to follow for a new producer of used industrial oil<\/h2>

Producer Code<\/h3>

The first thing to do is to request the Waste Producer Code through the SDR. When requesting the Producer Code, we must take into account that used oil is a hazardous waste, so we will activate the \u201cHazardous Waste\u201d option. This code is mandatory in order to manage the waste.<\/p>

The code is associated with the NIF, name and exact address of the center where the waste (used oil) is generated. It also includes the CNAE (economic activity) and the UTM coordinates of the site.<\/p>

This procedure can be carried out directly by the producer himself free of charge through the RDS portal. However, at Cator<\/strong> we can also help you to process it, although this service is not free of charge due to the technical time it requires.<\/p>

Once the registration is completed, you will receive a username and password to access the SDR and continue with the processing of the necessary documentation.<\/p>
