Next June 28th is World LGTBI Day, a key date to continue building a more egalitarian, fair and free society. At Cator, we join this commemoration reaffirming our commitment to diversity, also in the workplace and industry.
What is being celebrated?
This day remembers the Stonewall riots in New York (1969), a turning point in the fight for the rights of the LGTBI collective. Since then, every June 28th we celebrate the pride of being, feeling and living in freedom, and raise our voices against discrimination, intolerance and any form of exclusion.
World LGTBI Day is an opportunity to recognize diversity as a social value and to continue working for inclusive, safe and respectful environments.
What do we claim from Cator?
At Cator, we believe that there is no sustainability without social justice, and no circular economy without respect for people. We claim the right of each person to be who they are, to work under equal conditions and to be part of a diverse team free of prejudice.
We will continue to work so that our activity not only transforms waste into resources, but also contributes to a more diverse, plural and proud society.
LGTBI pedestrian crosswalks in our plant
Two years ago, M.Clager, a very artistic colleague of Cator, decided on her own initiative to paint one crosswalk of our regeneration plant in Alcover with LGTBI colors. In this sense, and after the initiative caused very good impressions in all the workers and visitors of the plant, these years, we have been increasing the number of pedestrian crossings. Today we have 7 LGTBI crosswalks distributed throughout our facilities with plans to incorporate more as a visible symbol of our commitment to inclusion.
🌈 Because every step towards equality counts.
